CANDLE CARE and PRODUCT CARE
Heavenly Scentz wants you to fully enjoy the experience that is created within each vessel and our product. For best use, please follow the care instructions below.
Candle Care
1. Trim your wick to ¼ of an inch before and after EACH burn. If you are using one of our wooden products, trim 3/16th inches. This will promote a safe, even and steady burn and limit mushrooming, tall flames and your vessel becoming too hot. Note you may experience your wax being discolored. This is an effect of the tannis from the wood or fragrance oil. It does not affect the product.
2. When enjoying your candle for the first time, allow it to burn until wax melts across the entire surface of your jar, which is called a full melt pool. This may take between 2-4 hours.
3. For safety and to preserve the life and aroma of your candle, please do not burn your candle more than 4 hours at a time. This is dangerous and should be a common safety practice for any candles you use.
4. IF your candle catches on fire, DO NOT pick up the candle and DO NOT pour, spray or submerge candle in water. This can cause you candle to explode and cause further damage and severe burns to yourself. Use a chemical-based fire extinguisher, cover the candle with a metal object or a wet towel.
5. Always keep your candle free of old wick trimmings, soot, matches and debris at all times. If soot begins to occur during your burn, extinguish your candle and allow to cool before wiping it out again make sure you have trimmed your wick.
6. Keep away from drafty areas, pets, children and anything flammable while candle is in use.
7. For our linen sprays, shake well before each use. Do not spray directly on the skin and keep away from the eyes. If accidentally sprayed into the eyes, wash immediately with water and consult medical attention.
